Savill Court wedding photographer

So Karla where did your wedding take place and what was it that made you choose that location?

We got married on the 14th July at a gloriously beautiful little village church called Saint Jude’s in Englefield Green, Surrey.

Our even more amazing reception was held at the Savill Court Hotel in Egham also in Surey.

How about a wedding cake? Did you have one made?

A very talented friend @spoonsbake made our wedding cake as our wedding gift. I can officially say the best tasting cake that my taste buds have ever encountered. Red velvet is definitely the way forward!!

Did you have a theme or a colour scheme for the day?

Ivory, gold and olive green.

Who designed your dress, what was it like and why did you chose it?

My dress was by Ian Stewart and was fantabulously beautiful. I knew it was the one as soon as I tried it on and made me feel like a princess!

Did you have anything special little features such as the something old , something new etc?

I didn’t bother with the old something old etc but had stitched into the lining of my dress a swash of fabric from my granddads suit, a lovely reminder of him on our special day.

That’s lovely.

Tell me about your groom. Did he look dashing? What did he wear?

Of course he did. He hired a morning suit from Moss Bros however he refused to wear the top hat!!

Where did you get inspiration and ideas to make your day special?

I think speaking to other brides-to-be was a big help as we could share ideas and suppliers.

Did you treat one another to a wedding present?

He had a lovely wife at the end of the day!! Surely that’s the most precious present anyone can give!? Lol !

Was there a supplier who provided you with a particularly amazing service?

Gavin Woollard Photography provided an absolutely outstanding service from first meeting all the way through to proofing to finished product. Looking back through our album Gavin really managed to catch the essence of our day. He captured some incredible images on film!!

Having got married and looking back on your day What advice would you pass on to a future bride? Planning, planning, planning!!!! Spreadsheets were my saviour. Oh and a Mum and Dad that are so happy that they could finally palm off their offspring!!!

Did you have a particular favourite photograph and what did you like about it? I have two. The stunning image of me looking through my veil in the hotel before our church ceremony its almost as if it isn’t really me, it is so perfect that it could have been straight from a magazine! And the image on our album cover of us canoodling in Great Windsor Park.

So in hindsight was Gavin Woollard the right photographer for you?

Without a shadow of a doubt. Gavin is an extremely talented professional who takes absolutely outstanding images. He really captured the essence of our glorious day and for that I cannot thank him enough.

Thanks Karla. I am so glad that you chose me to take your wedding photographs after we met at Mary and Femi’s amazing wedding at Stock Brook Manor in Essex.
